Every RTV-X is powered by Kubota’s D1105 three-cylinder diesel engine. The 1.1-litre engine produces 23.3 gross horsepower and 51.4 lb-ft of torque for hauling, towing and travelling across demanding terrain.
The diesel powertrain is designed around low-speed utility work rather than recreational speed, making the RTV-X especially well suited to farms, commercial properties and job sites where durability and controlled performance matter.
Kubota’s two-range VHT-X transmission provides smooth acceleration and one-pedal speed control.
Releasing the accelerator allows the transmission to provide dynamic braking, helping slow the RTV-X during descents and frequent stop-and-go operation. This provides greater control while hauling cargo or travelling across uneven ground.
The RTV-X uses a selectable four-wheel-drive system that can be engaged when additional traction is required and disengaged when two-wheel drive is sufficient.
A limited-slip front differential and locking rear differential help reduce wheelspin in snow, mud, loose soil and uneven terrain.
The RTV-X includes a steel cargo box designed to carry tools, feed, firewood, fencing supplies and other work materials.
The traditional cargo box provides approximately 15.2 cubic feet of volume and a maximum cargo capacity of 1,102 pounds. Four integrated tie-down points help secure loads during transport.
On equipped configurations, the hydraulic cargo-box lift allows the operator to raise and lower the bed using a lever.
This reduces the physical effort required to unload soil, mulch, firewood, feed and other loose material. Hydraulic bed-lift equipment varies by trim and should be confirmed for the advertised vehicle.
Front and rear two-inch hitch receivers provide flexibility for towing trailers and positioning equipment.
The RTV-X has a rated rear towing capacity of up to 1,300 pounds. Trailer weight, tongue weight, terrain and operating requirements must remain within the limits stated in the operator’s manual.
Independent suspension at all four wheels helps the RTV-X maintain traction and ride comfort across ruts, fields, trails and uneven working areas.
Kubota provides approximately eight inches of front and rear suspension travel, helping the machine remain stable when carrying cargo over rough terrain.
Hydrostatic power steering provides responsive control while reducing steering effort.
This is especially useful when travelling at low speed, carrying a heavy load or operating with front-mounted attachments.
The RTV-X uses sealed front and rear wet-disc brakes.
The enclosed design helps protect the braking components from mud, dust, moisture and debris, supporting reliable performance in demanding agricultural and commercial environments.
A strong steel frame forms the foundation of the RTV-X.
The frame is designed to withstand repeated hauling, towing and operation across rough terrain while helping isolate occupants from noise and vibration. Skid plates and CV-joint guards help protect critical drivetrain components beneath the vehicle.
The redesigned RTV-X uses LED headlights to improve visibility during early mornings, evening work and poor weather.
Headlight configuration varies by trim. Basic models use LED low beams, while Standard and Premium configurations include LED high and low beams.
Available heavy-duty multipurpose tires are designed to provide traction on loose soil and mud while remaining suitable for harder surfaces and turf.
Tire and wheel availability varies according to trim, colour and vehicle configuration.
Depending on configuration, the Kubota RTV-X may be equipped with:
Kubota currently offers K-Connect-compatible snowblowers, sweepers, straight blades and V-plows, along with utility accessories for comfort and productivity. Attachment compatibility must be confirmed for the specific RTV-X configuration.
The Kubota RTV-X is well suited to:
