Overview

The Kubota M7-4 Series is a lineup of high-horsepower agricultural tractors built for hay production, livestock operations, tillage, loader work, transport and demanding year-round farm applications. Available through Weagant Farm Supplies in Brockville, Ontario, the M7-4 Series combines Kubota-built power with advanced transmission choices, strong hydraulic capability and a comfortable cab designed for productive days in the field.

With three models ranging from 128 to 168 gross engine horsepower, the M7-4 Series gives Eastern Ontario farmers the ability to choose a tractor suited to their workload. From cutting and baling hay to handling feed, moving material, pulling implements and completing seasonal fieldwork, the M7-4 is designed to support a wide range of agricultural operations.

M7-4 Model Comparison

Kubota M7-134

Gross Engine Horsepower: 128 HP
Rated PTO Horsepower: 100 HP
Available Boost Power: Up to 20 HP
Engine: Kubota V6108 four-cylinder turbocharged diesel
Engine Displacement: 6.1 L
Rated Engine Speed: 2,100 rpm

The M7-134 is the entry model in the M7-4 Series. It is well suited to farms that need the capability of a full-sized agricultural tractor for haying, loader work, feeding, transport and general field operations without moving into the highest horsepower class.

Kubota M7-154

Gross Engine Horsepower: 148 HP
Rated PTO Horsepower: 120 HP
Available Boost Power: Up to 20 HP
Engine: Kubota V6108 four-cylinder turbocharged diesel
Engine Displacement: 6.1 L
Rated Engine Speed: 2,100 rpm

The M7-154 provides increased engine and PTO power for larger implements and more demanding agricultural work. Its combination of horsepower, hydraulic capacity and available transmission choices makes it a versatile option for commercial hay, livestock and mixed-farming operations.

Kubota M7-174

Gross Engine Horsepower: 168 HP
Rated PTO Horsepower: 140 HP
Available Boost Power: Up to 5 HP
Engine: Kubota V6108 four-cylinder turbocharged diesel

Key Features

Kubota 6.1-Litre Diesel Engine

Every M7-4 model is powered by Kubota’s V6108 four-cylinder diesel engine. The 6.1-litre engine uses direct injection, turbocharging and an intercooler to provide dependable power for PTO work, transport, loader applications and field operations.

The lineup ranges from 128 gross horsepower in the M7-134 to 168 gross horsepower in the M7-174, allowing operators to select a tractor matched to their implements and workload.

PTO Power Boost

The M7-4 Series can provide additional boost power during demanding PTO applications. Depending on the tractor model, up to 20 additional horsepower may be available when operating under qualifying conditions.

This added power helps the tractor maintain performance when working with demanding balers, mower conditioners and other PTO-driven implements.

Semi-Powershift and KVT Transmission Choices

M7-4 tractors are available with either a Semi-Powershift transmission or Kubota’s continuously variable KVT transmission.

The Semi-Powershift provides 30 forward and 15 reverse speeds, allowing the operator to select an appropriate gear for fieldwork, transport and loader applications. An optional creeper configuration increases the available range to 54 forward and 27 reverse speeds for jobs requiring extremely low operating speeds.

The available KVT transmission provides continuously variable speed control, helping the operator maintain an efficient working speed without relying on fixed gear changes.

Transmission availability varies by model and trim level.

Xpress Restart

Xpress Restart allows the operator to control the main clutch through the tractor’s brake pedals. The tractor can be brought to a stop without repeatedly using the clutch pedal, reducing operator effort during applications that require frequent stopping and restarting.

This feature is particularly useful during baling, loader work and other operations involving repeated changes in movement.

Closed-Centre Load-Sensing Hydraulics

The M7-4 Series uses a closed-centre load-sensing hydraulic system with a pump capacity of 110 litres per minute.

The system provides hydraulic flow according to demand, supporting loader operation, hydraulic implements and multiple functions without continuously delivering maximum flow when it is not required.

Deluxe models can be equipped with up to four mechanical remote valves, while Premium models can support up to five electronically controlled remote valves.

High-Capacity Three-Point Hitch

The Category III/IIIN rear three-point hitch provides a rated lift capacity of 5,350 kilograms measured 610 millimetres behind the lift point.

This capacity allows the M7-4 to operate a wide selection of mounted agricultural implements used for tillage, seeding, hay production and property maintenance.

Actual implement compatibility must be confirmed according to implement weight, dimensions, hydraulic requirements and tractor configuration.

Loader-Friendly Operation

An available front-loader joystick places shuttle-shift and range-shift controls within easy reach of the operator. This reduces the need to move between the steering wheel, transmission controls and loader joystick during repetitive material-handling work.

An optional hydraulic Euro attachment lock allows compatible loader attachments—including buckets, bale spears and pallet forks—to be connected or released without requiring the operator to leave the cab.

Loader features and attachment-lock availability depend on the tractor and loader configuration.

Multi-Speed Steering Control

Multi-Speed Steering Control allows the operator to adjust steering responsiveness according to the work being performed.

A more responsive steering setting can improve maneuverability during loader work and operation in confined areas. A less aggressive setting can provide greater control during fieldwork and higher-speed applications.

Comfortable Four-Post Cab

The M7-4 cab is designed to provide visibility, operator space and convenient access to the tractor’s controls.

Premium Powershift and Premium KVT models include automatic climate control, allowing the operator to select a desired cab temperature during hot summer work or cold-weather operation.

Available LED work lights improve visibility when working early in the morning, after sunset or in poorly lit farmyards.

Adjustable Operating Settings

Applicable tractor settings can be adjusted through the K-Monitor, including:

Shuttle modulation PTO modulation KVT sensitivity Cruise-control settings Hydraulic valve assignments Custom start-up gear selection

Option availability and compatibility must be confirmed for the selected model and configuration.

Available settings vary according to the tractor’s transmission and trim level.

Improved Loader Durability and Maintenance

Updated loader pin-joint bushings are designed to improve wear resistance and reduce maintenance requirements. Kubota specifies lubrication intervals of up to 30 operating hours for the applicable joints, compared with more frequent servicing on conventional designs.

Actual lubrication and maintenance intervals must follow the operator’s manual for the installed tractor and loader configuration.

Available Equipment and Options

Depending on model and configuration, the Kubota M7-4 Series may be available with:

Semi-Powershift transmission Kubota Variable Transmission Deluxe or Premium trim packages Front-end loader Hydraulic Euro attachment lock Bucket Bale spear Pallet forks Grapple Front hitch Front PTO Additional rear remote valves Flanged or bar rear axle Front-axle suspension Integrated guidance or precision-farming technology Agricultural tire packages Row-crop tire packages Additional LED work lighting Ballasting and wheel-weight options
