Agricultural Equipment Technician / Technician Apprentice  

Technicians report to the Service Manager and strive to offer industry leading service to our customers, whether in the shop or the field.

 

Responsibilities:

•    Perform diagnostic tests on engines and equipment
•    Repair and assemble equipment (mechanic, hydraulic, electrical, cooling, lubrication, etc.)
•    Record work performed and pass on such records in a timely manner
•    Double-check own work completed against original repair request for accuracy & completion
•    Identify additional deficiencies (if any) and bring them forward to consider repair
•    Test repaired equipment for proper performance
•    Keep work station neat and tidy
•    Maintain shop equipment
•    Mentor apprentice technicians as needed
•    Operate forklift – AFTER on-site training
•    Use electronic service tools with care 
•    Responsibly use company owned tools, reporting on any issues
•    Adhere to workplace safety policies, procedures and OHSA
•    Delivery of equipment when needed
•    Available participate in supplier on-line or on-site technical training programs.
•    All other duties as assigned in the course of a work day

 

Skills/Experience:

•    Licensed Technician or apprentice technician preferred (425a) 
•    Mechanically inclined with previous experience working with agricultural, heavy or equipment
•    Employee must be able to lift and move pieces of equipment within job context
•    Analytical and interested in solving customer problems
•    Independent and able to make corrective decisions while having a strong team ethic
•    Willingness to use digital work order software
•    Must have own set of tools and safety boots

Parts Receiver (Plus)  

Weagant Farm Supplies, the family-owned & operated Kubota dealership on Hwy29 north of Brockville is looking for a Parts Receiver to join our amazing team.

At this agricultural equipment dealership,the Parts Receiver Plus reports to the Parts Manager and supports the team in offering industry leading customer service through attention to detail and engagement with staff and customers. This is an entry-level position with the company, with opportunity for growth

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

•    Receive incoming parts shipments daily, verifying quantities and accuracy of the details of packing slips.
•    Input data to the WFS software system to ensure that pricing information in the software is consistent with the latest invoicing from suppliers.
•    Unpack and stock daily shipments. To stock means to determine what was ordered and place parts in assigned bin locations, customer shelving, or in open display shelving. 
•    For customer ordered parts, contact the customer to advise of part arrival.
•    Maintain an orderly partsreceiving area and cleaning the area as necessary. 
•    Work with the parts manager and parts counter staff to constantly improve the display of open shelf items. Good merchandising practices must prevail. Open shelf displays should be kept free of dirt and dust at all times. 
•    The receiver may at times be required to drive company vehicles for pickups or deliveries.
•    The term receiver (plus) refers to the need for the parts receiver to learn the duties and assist other individuals in various departments at the company. Specifically,the receiver is expected to spell off the receptionist, parts counter workers and be the service manager’s assistant as required. These duties will be assigned as experience and confidence is gained.

 

Requirements:

•    Strongcomputer skills.
•    Strong reading comprehension and accurate data entry skills.
•    Customer-service oriented.
•    AMust be able to walk, stand for long periods, work at a desk, use a computer, occasionally lift 40-50 lbs., climb adders and stairs, bend, twist, work in a range from floor to waist to above shoulder height, repetitive motions (such as typing, opening and collapsing boxes).
•    Safety shoes/boots are required.
•    Basic knowledge of farm equipment and/or experience on a farm is anasset but not essential.

Hours of Work:

8:00am -5:00pm, Monday through Friday and 8:00am-12:00pm, every other Saturday

 

Compensation:

This is an entry-level position with the companywith starting wage from $17.20-$20.00/hour. In addition to hourly wage, WFS offers benefits + Employee Assistance Program + RRSP contribution.
